We’re pleased to announce that the Lasqueti Island Nature Conservancy’s Annual General Meeting, is taking place on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 11:00-12:30 PM at the Judith Fisher Centre (JFC) with a walk to follow!
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear updates on our conservation work, projects from the past year, renew your membership, and to help shape the future of LINC. There will be a screening of a new 12 minute video ‘The John Osland Nature Reserve, A Story of Change’ created by Sheila Harrington and Sue Ashcroft. It tells the story of how Johnny Osland came to donate his land for conservation and the changes that have occurred over time. We’ll also enjoy a nature walk following the meeting to the Johnny Osland Nature Reserve.
Schedule:
- 11:00 AM -12:30pm – AGM at the Judith Fisher Centre
- ~1:00 PM – Walk to Johnny Osland Nature Reserve
Following the meeting, at 1:00 pm, we will meet for a group walk to the Johnny Osland Nature Reserve, a recently protected area secured by the BC Parks Foundation.
Please bring water, a snack, and appropriate footwear. Cameras are encouraged for those wishing to capture the day.
