We are hosting a work party to remove invasive Italian Arum at the old homestead area in Point Young Park on Friday, July 31. We will be smothering large patches of Arum in place as well as digging up tubers from the surrounding areas to include in the smothering.  A crew from BC Parks Foundation will be joining us in this endeavour. Our start time will be in the morning but is still to be determined so we’ll update you once the logistics are confirmed.

As usual, a lunch will be provided for those who RSVP  to linc@lasqueti.ca. Please RSVP by the evening of Wednesday, July 29, so we can reserve your lunch. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.

What to bring:

Work gloves

A water bottle

If you have them: a shovel, 5 gallon bucket or garden tote

We’ll meet at the parking area across from the Salish View trail off main road and will walk in from there (~30minute walk). We hope you can join us for a productive morning, working to restore this part of the park to a more natural state.

Questions?  Please email us at LINC@lasqueti.ca.

Hope to see you there!
