We are excited to invite you to LINC’s Annual General Meeting followed by an exciting hike on Saturday, May 25.

The AGM will commence at 11:00 am at the Judith Fisher Centre. Please bring $10-$20 if you wish to renew your LINC membership for the coming year. If you’re unable to attend in person, you can conveniently e-transfer your membership renewal to: linc@lasqueti.ca

After the AGM, we’ll gather at 1:00 pm at Lindbergh Road (public access to Maple Bay) to embark on a hike to the newly acquired BC Parks Foundation protected area: Marine Island! This hike is scheduled during the low tide window, allowing us to explore the island thoroughly by foot. We are thrilled to have Dana Lepofsky and Faren Wolfe join us to highlight sites of archaeological significance.

Remember to bring water, food, appropriate footwear and don’t forget your camera to capture the beauty and uniqueness of this newly protected site.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Additionally, don’t miss our upcoming talk before the AGM on Friday, May 24, at 7:00 pm at the Arts Center. Join Audrey Lin (Museum of Natural History) to explore “The History of Coast Salish Woolly Dogs as Revealed by Ancient DNA and Indigenous Knowledge.” For more information on this and other events, please visit our website.

Best regards,

The LINC Board
